The 2014 Breeze Aire is inspired by the legacy of midcentury-modern California developer Joseph Eichler. Eichler envisioned modern homes that were more than mere shelter—homes that invited families to live more fully and generously. These homes utilized an ingenious arrangement of interior space and a unique combination of openness and privacy that made possible a far more relaxed way of life.
The Breeze Aire carries on the Eichler design tradition while incorporating the latest in high-performance building science and home technology. The home gathers around a Breezespace that combines living and dining, with sliding glass doors providing dramatic views and easy access to the outdoors. Soaring 17’ ceilings and clerestory windows let in plenty of natural light and add to the feeling of openness and spaciousness. Sleeping areas are separated from the living areas via sound buffers to provide privacy.
Eichler built thousands of his homes in California, making modern architecture available to the everyday homeowner. Similarly, the Breeze Aire is the most democratic of our homes – a full family home available for $2,500 per month, excluding land, and versatile enough for suburban and rural neighborhoods.
