What does the price include?

Blu Homes’ pricing includes consultation, limited design and engineering, factory-building, transportation and installation of your home. Things that are not included are the cost of the land, the foundation, site work (including painting, landscaping, decks, porches, garages, etc.) and utility hook-ups.

How do you finance a Blu Home?

How long does it take?

One of Blu Homes’ primary goals is to reduce the time spent in the construction process. Although there are many variables like permitting and financing that can affect schedule, once you have chosen and personalized your home design, we estimate 4-8 weeks to construct the home off-site in the factory, and then 2-3 weeks to deliver and install your Blu Home. This time frame is drastically reduced from the traditional stick-built homebuilding process, which is often 9-18 months or more plus an additional 3-6 months to work with an architect. Do I need to hire a general contractor (GC)?

Yes. Once you have purchased land, site work needs to be done to prepare for your Blu Home to be set. You will need a foundation, for which you will need a general contractor. Your GC will also make the final utility tie-ins. We use a quick-connect system to make this as simple as possible. In some cases, Blu can recommend a GC in your area.

Where can I see a Blu Home?

Blu Homes are each privately owned. However, we sometimes host open houses in newly built homes and we regularly host factory tours where we have model homes. Prospective clients can also visit our factory for a private tour to see homes in various stages of construction. If you are interested, we may be able to arrange a home tour, factory tour, or a design seminar after your initial consultation with our Sales Office.
