Debra Longo, director of marketing
Experience: Debra brings over 17 years experience in marketing, writing and project management to her position. She has been working with co-founder Bill Haney for 9 years as an associate producer and marketing director with his independent film production company Uncommon Productions and did some initial consulting with Blu Homes prior to its launch, including naming the company!
Community: Leads bicycling and hiking trips for the Appalachian Mountain Club and is a construction volunteer with her local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Also participates in a number of charity events for the American Diabetes Association and the National MS Society.
Interests: Loves cycling, hiking, gardening and yoga and has a strong interest in agriculture and food.
Fun Fact: Has cycled extensively throughout North America, including Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Idaho and the Canadian Rockies.
Education: B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in 1990. Debra also holds teaching certificates in holistic health counseling and yoga and a Diploma in social sciences from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
