Experience

Maura McCarthy co-founded Blu Homes because of a deep interest in reducing the carbon footprint of American homes, and making home buying a more fun and convenient experience. Maura has several years of experience as a venture capital investor at Ironwood Equity, including experience as an investor in the prefab homes industry. Maura is a board member of The Capital Network, a nonprofit focused on providing mentorship and financing help to startup entrepreneurs, and is a board observer on ISIS, the leading provider of active apparel focused solely on women.

Community

Member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Renewable Energy Business Network; has served as a judge for the MIT Enterprise Forum and Ignite Clean Energy competition.

Interests

Playing the fiddle, watching Red Sox and Tigers baseball, politics, swimming, entertaining, and tasting new cheeses.

Fun Fact

Grew up in a one-bedroom house built for $2,000 using locally sourced and recycled materials. Green living is in her blood!
